Architecture is a symbolic and continuous reminder of the values and aspirations of society. Such a noble effort is a challenge and an honor, to be executed with a respect for both the people and use it will serve.
We believe that architectural design is the physical dialogue between the internal forces of a building’s program and the external forces of its content. We do not design our buildings according to the dictates of any one style. Instead, the individual identities of our projects result from the specific function and setting of each building.
We feel that exceptional architecture requires more than tour-de-force or a private gesture that ignores a building as a complex social aesthetic. Instead, such work must include serious consideration for human, cultural, and functional needs in addition to a framework of form, use, techniques, and budget.
It is not the beauty of a building you should look at; its the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time. – David Allan Coe
